Tl;dr: What is the standard part number for horizontal output transistor of the iMac G3? What is in your iMac G3? I've been working on restoring a 350MHz slotloading iMac G3. I bought it used in 2008 and it worked fine until 2013 when it died. My horizontal output transistor has a marking on it...- aliasmk

iMac G3 Graphite 700MHz not booting, possibly cooked
Your PRAM battery might be dead already if the PMU crashed at some point during handling, you didn't properly reset the PMU chip after changing the battery, or the PMU itself is dead somehow (possible culprit?). From the iMac DV service manual starting on page 199 of the linked PDF:- aliasmk
