Was there ever any software similar to system monitor for OS X for OS 9? I’m just curious at times how much processor is actually being used for example.

Any limit to not go above or certain percentage of total ram for example?

I did. Classial will usually work best but randomly crashes (expected). IE 5 will only pull down about half a meg at most. I even went direct to router still same speed. I know it’s not MG for IE download speeds as any other website just as slow. Appreciate it. Been a long time since I’ve messed...

1.7 I’ll check if it’s active or passive later today I don’t remember. I was trying FTP because if I try to download via internet explorer or classica the download times out. I was able to get fetch to work I just don’t have a license for that but do from using transit back in the day for work.

Looks to be something with transit fetch is working looking to see if I still have a key for fetch I used to use it for work a long time ago.

Double checked matches. Yes internet working can get on frogfind for example IP address in TCP/IP. Guess I could try another FTP application

Thanks for the quick reply I tried /Garden/ and / again received this message

Installed transit on MacOS 9. I think I have the settings correct. Is the directory just / if so when I connect I don’t see anything. Can MacOS 9.2.2 use FTP on Macintosh Garden? Any help or suggestions really appreciated.

Hi, new to Macintosh Garden. Could you be kind enough to tell me what I should be putting in for path by default it shows / in fetch but I don’t see anything

In case anyone is wondering took the DVD decoder off the graphics card and reseated still doesn’t chime but boots. Guess it got shifted around in the move go figure.

I did when I took out the graphics card and reseated it no chime and wouldn’t do pram reseated it again no change.

Thanks Eric. I took it to down to a known good CDROM and ram. Reseated video card processor no change I don’t have an extra PCI video card might try and find a decent priced one online or set this one aside move on to another one and if I go to a swap meet try and find a video card. I was...

Hi all, have a powermac g3 blue and white 450MHz DVD. It’s been sitting since I moved decided to get back into the hobby. It did boot into OS 9 when right before I moved it’s been sitting for about 2 yrs. It chimed no display switched displayed just to be sure. Still chimed popped the open...

I’ve seen that I think I also saw someone got it running on a G4 xserve. If I ever come across one at the right price I’d be interested in trying.

Hi Patrick, A lot of fellow users tell me they prefer 8.6 most yes I know it doesn’t work on G4 (at least that’s what I remember) I like 9 better because I use a lot of FireWire devices and find FireWire suppport to be more stable on 9 vs 8. I also made use of multi-user in both stand alone and...
