Thanks for the info. I’ve already got them both set up with ide-Sata bridges, and I’ve flashed a pci Sata card but got worried reading horror stories about Molex-sata power cords melting. any tips for picking a Molex-Sata adapter and how to connect them to minimize the risk?

I was pretty psyched. Apparently my older, crappier acer panel wasn’t being taken seriously by the G3 but the Samsung seems to make it happy.

Just to close the loop here, try the newest monitor you have with vga in. The b&w actually reads the native resolution off the Samsung panel and can power it at 1920 by 1200

I tried it but it seems like whatever resolution it goes to after pram zap is not supported by my monitor! I guess I’ve got to fish the CRT out of its box…
