So just a random thought: wouldn't be neat to have a sound archive of all the error sounds from vintage hardware? Things like the bad RAM start up beeps from Macintoshes, but also the click of death from Zip drives.

I think technically my first Mac was a Powerbook 100 I got at a fire sale, but was stolen out of my bag a couple of months later. I miss the darn thing, which has some unique features that no other Mac has used (like the ability to boot from RAM with only 8 megabytes total). Anyone else ever...

So I have kept in my Photos archive pictures I took way back in 1998 using an Apple QuickTake 200 (640x480) - and it's amazing to compare it to the more modern iPhone 12 camera (4032x3024). It's software archeology.

This reminds me that I have an original first Apple Store T-shirt still in tube somewhere in storage...

Great point. In the lab, the highest concentration I found is 30% hydrogen peroxide. And you don't want that touching your skin. Ask me why I know.

The problem with trying to connect my newish M1 MacBook Air to a vintage Apple Cinema Display - usb-c to HDMI, HDMI to DVI, DVI to weird octopus poly output from Cinema Display. :) it worked.
