Nondestructively convert case-sensitive volume to case-insensitive one?

Yeah, I ended up finding iPartition independently, and it worked fine.

Nondestructively convert case-sensitive volume to case-insensitive one?

Is it possible, in Mac OS X 10.9 “Mavericks” or its installer, to nondestructively convert a case-sensitive HFS+ volume in place to a case-insensitive one?

Flavours fails silently to apply themes after I tried one

I think I found the problem, namely that I copied the themes into Application Support instead of letting Flavours install them, to wit: 2026-05-21 01:34:58.861 Flavours[905:507] Error copying flavour to to_apply flavour: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=260 "The file...

Flavours fails silently to apply themes after I tried one

Have any of y'all ever used the theming application Flavours (renamed Flavours Classic when Flavours 2 was released for 10.10 “Yosemite”)? I used to love it back in the day, but now I’m having a strange issue with it on my 2013 Mac Pro running 10.9 “Mavericks”. I tried the beta off Macintosh...

Mac Pro 6,1 — no signs of life after replacing I/O board

I have no idea; it was pulled from an e-waste pile. I didn't have the money at the time to buy a known working I/O board from, say, eBay, and don't now, either. :( I did not remove the processors from their sockets when repasting them.

Mac Pro 6,1 — no signs of life after replacing I/O board

I picked up a 2013 Mac Pro (MacPro6,1 aka "trashcan") from a pawn shop in March. It worked fine for a while, and then I broke one of the I/O board connectors to the power supply while reässembling it after repasting the processors. A friend set me a known working replacement, but after...

Schematics for eMac? or bodging lifted pads?

I was never able to find schematics, but removing some of the poorly installed caps did a facially equivalent trick. Resetting the PMU requires opening the RAM door and pressing a small button to the bottom right of the RAM slots. Never press it more than once or you risk crashing the PMU!

[eMac/1.25] OS 9 no longer boots after installing OS X on separate partition

Hokay so. I wiped my 1.25 GHz eMac's drive and added an OS 9 partition from within the Mac OS 9 Lives' unsupported G4s ISO of OS 9, to which partition I installed OS 9 using the same ISO. I later added Tiger and Leopard partitions from within Fienix Linux, then used the standard Tiger DVD to...

Schematics for eMac? or bodging lifted pads?

Removing the problematic capacitors, then resetting the PMU and SMC, fixed it.

Schematics for eMac? or bodging lifted pads?

Yesterday, I recapped my 1.25 GHz eMac (logic board no. 820-1591-A). However, I lifted pads on two of the capacitors (C473, C447) because I'm a n00b at soldering, and since it's a multilayer board, I have no idea where the traces lead. Would anyone happen to have schematics, or be able to help...
