Batteries for MessagePad 2000?

I dug out an old newton. Battery is long dead. I don’t know a way to get this run outside of getting a proper AC adapter. Are there way to get a battery refurbished?

An adapter is nice to have kicking around, regardless.

If you can’t locate an actual Newton adapter, there are a number of commonly available Sony adapters that work quite well.
