I wonder if that gives an idea for some fantastic mini subwoofer for more bass at your feet at the desk? 
Not at all. The speaker opening is conical in shape on the QS so the adapter rested on the interior taper of said opening, never reaching the speaker.

Looks like time for electrical stimulation/conditioning of a young brain when it comes poking around in both light sockets and electrical outlets?

Heh, that sometimes doesn't work. By the time I was 2, I'd done that already myself. Kinda backfired.
